CD Review: “White Noise”

BY ELMA LETIC
4 stars

With so many bands releasing clichéd love songs, the band PVRIS, formerly known as Paris, offers a different perspective with White Noise. The opening of the song “My House” can trick listeners into thinking it is a typical love song, but the listener soon finds out that the song is more about the lead singer, Lynn Gunn, attempting to get an ex-lover out of her life. The one downfall is that the album seems to be centered around one person solely. Although it seems to be about one really bad relationship, the album is worth the listen because of how unique Gunn’s voice is and the different perspective she gives to typical love songs.
