The boys lacrosse team lost 17-7 to Hempfield on Thursday.

For Baldwin, senior Jacob Lubawy scored four goals, while senior Alex Cindrich, freshman Anthony DiCesaro, and junior Nico DeLallo each scored one goal.

Lubawy scored the first goal of the game, but the Highlanders could not hold off Hempfield.

“We could have done better all around on defense,” sophomore goalie Scott Wilson said. “On offense we couldn’t throw and catch quickly enough.”

“(Hempfield) was able to communicate well and pass quickly,” Wilson said.

The Highlanders started to play better throughout the second half, he said.

Wilson saw improvements in the team and is looking forward to future games.

“Hopefully we can win (tonight),” Wilson said. “It should be winnable.”

The team’s next game is tonight at Trinity High School.
