The Baldwin boys and girls bowling teams lost their matches on Wednesday against Elizabeth Forward.

The match has caused the boys team to drop their record to 6-4. The boys won the first game; however, Elizabeth Forward won the next two.

Junior Nolan Malloy felt the team played great on Wednesday just like they had been all year, but Elizabeth Forward just played a great last two sets to pull ahead of the Highlanders.

“We really looked great out there and I think we have a great chance at going far in the playoffs this year,” he said. “Elizabeth Forward just stepped up and we just couldn’t match their level of competitiveness.”

The boys team qualified for playoffs with this latest match. Malloy is excited about making the playoffs this year.

“I have been doing my best trying to make the playoffs since my freshman year,” he said. “It feels awesome that we finally accomplished the goal.”

Because the girls team only has two bowlers, they lose many of their matches by default. The girls’ record is currently 1-9.

The boys team will head to playoffs in about two weeks.
