The girls basketball team turned its senior recognition night into a fairy-tale event on Monday, knocking off Mt. Lebanon at home for the first time in more than 20 years and ensuring a spot in the playoffs.
Mt. Lebanon had been the top-ranked team in the section, but Baldwin notched a 45-39 victory. Senior Taylor Letender put nine points on the board.Senior Captain Nikki Corcoran said the big win was the result of a lot of hard work.
“We are progressively taking steps in the right direction to victory,” Corcoran said.
The win means the girls are in the playoffs.
“I feel confident, with no limitations on what is possible to be achieved this year,” Corcoran said.
