Girls basketball team faces playoff deciding game against Mt. Lebo

BY TIM CARR
Staff Writer

The girls basketball team has a key match-up against Mt. Lebanon on Monday night that will be a big factor regarding the team’s playoff chances.

As of right now, some playoff slots are up in the air for the teams in Baldwins conference, with only Bethel Park and Mt. Lebanon in definitely.  A victory could give the girls an edge in the battle against Canon Mac for a playoff spot.

“For Mt. Lebo, we have always been rivals,” team co-captain Mandi Johnston said.  “Our seniors have been playing each other since we were young.  It’s a more personal game between the two of us.  It’s just all about who wants it more and is willing to prove it.”

Baldwin is going into the game fresh off of a 43-34 win over Canon Mac on Monday, with a late comeback in the fourth inspired by Johnston
