Students planning on going trick-or-treating this year can get a head start on the festivities by wearing their costumes to school to help a good cause.
In continuation of this year’s Red Ribbon week, Thursday will have the theme “Scare away drugs.” Students are able to pay one dollar to wear a costume to school. The money will go to the senior class.
Along with the students, teachers also have the opportunity to wear a costume, but for a different cause. Students can donate money to the teachers participating. The money collected will go to the “KDKA Turkey Fund.”
KDKA partners with PNC Bank and Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank to help feed families for Thanksgiving. For each donation over $50, PNC bank will double it.
