The Baldwin inline hockey team defeated Pine Richland 6-1 on Saturday night, clinching the top seed throughout the playoffs.
The team finished the regular season with a record of 13-2-1.
Senior forward Scott Borman was impressed with the way his team played.
“We played really well and played a good system,” Borman said.
Borman, playing for the first time in a month due to a separated shoulder, contributed by scoring a goal.
“This is my first game back since my injury. I played really well for having an injury,” Borman said.
Senior captain Jack O’Brien and senior Joey Starr contributed two goals while senior Mark Cardillo added another.
Borman was happy to see O’Brien providing the leadership needed to take them far.
“He kept us motivated,” Borman said.
Senior goalie Noah Knerr made many big saves to make sure Baldwin won by a large margin.
The team will play North Hills, Grove City, or West Allegheny in its first playoff game.
The inline team is confident about its playoff run..
“We think this is our year to win it all,” Borman said.
