The boys wrestling team lost its match last night against Bethel Park.

The team has not won a match this year, but individually each member has been improving on their personal records.

Senior Cameron Allgeier is hopeful that the boys will continue to work on their technique in order to gain overall success as a team.

“Individually we have been winning matches, but when each individual match is added to our team score, it hasn’t measured up to get us a win,” Allgeier said.

Allgeier said that some of the standout competitors on the team this year are junior Gehrig Hutchison, and senior Amir Muhammad.

“The three of us have been contributing greatly to our overall score and we’re hoping to pull bigger scores at our next meet,” Allgeier said.

The team’s next tournament is next weekend at Fox Chapel and will be a big opportunity for wrestlers to gain attention from college scouts.
